  1. Post How can I Resize SR?

    Hello.
I have 1TB HDD and after installing XenCenter it removed all partitions and create its own Partition. How can I change SR size and Split it in two Storage?

    [root@xentest ~]# pvscan
    PV /dev/sda3 VG VG_XenStorage-4b8d9447-f9bb-44e0-5e42-fc93a14d5bac lvm2 [923.50 GB / 923.50 GB free]
    Total: 1 [923.50 GB] / in use: 1 [923.50 GB] / in no VG: 0 [0 ]

    Thanks.

Why do you want it split into two repositories?

I get that you want two repositories. My question is why do you want two repositories when they are on the same drive. Having the drive split provides no benefit that I can think of.

I'm not aware of a supported way of doing this within XenServer. You could use a boot ISO with a partition management utility to possibly accomplish this. Again, if you only have one drive in the system, you have nothing to gain by partitioning it. XenServer has already allocated the space it needs for the system and gave this rest to the Local Storage SR to be used for VMs.
