Thread: XenApp on Linux

  1. Default XenApp on Linux

Details: XenApp Server > Webapge > Published app
Local OS: Newly Switched over to Linux.

We have customers (now on RHEL Linux) using XenApp to connect to a published app (Remedy). The issue is that when they try to save the file to their machine, they get the infamous "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator". I'm trying to nail down this issue but I'm not sure if something needs to be changed on the server or some configuration trick locally. Any ideas ? They used to use this in Windows with IE and I believe it worked.

Every time I've ever seen this it was because the GPO setting to restrict access to the server C: drive was enabled. http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX123187

Thanks for responding. I guess it works in Windows, so do you know if something needs to be done on the server to get it to work with other OSes ? Mac / Linux / etc. ?

Thanks for replying. I'm wondering, is there an issue with the user being on Linux or Mac OS ?

It shouldn't really matter. Are you trying to access the client mapped drives? There is a setting in the client that will disable local drive access. It usually prompts, but I'm not 100% sure that's the case on a Mac or Linux since I don't use those options very often.
